The Shoals Club acclaimed Aquatics Complex includes a heated lap pool, kids’ splash pad and playground, two large waterslides, zero entry family pool, gazebo bar and open air restaurant. Members, guests and temporary members enjoy access to the pool complex from April through October.
Located in the Timbercreek neighborhood, ‘HappiNest’ is a beautiful waterfront condo nestled among the live oaks of the salt marsh sanctuary and community pool. The property is the perfect location for your BHI vacation! This rental also comes with a BHI Club Temporary Membership for your visit.
Tennis
A secluded oasis, Bald Head Island is a place of quiet unspoiled beaches and maritime forests. Here the Atlantic Ocean meets the Cape Fear River, where large sand bars emerge and retreat seasonally, creating a unique natural environment for dolphins, loggerhead sea turtles, herons, ospreys, egrets and deer to thrive.
Meandering over dunes and lagoons, the 18-hole championship George Cobb golf course is a true test for the avid golfer. The club also offers a well-stocked golf shop, and lessons and clinics are available for all ages.
The tennis center features four courts with brand new Classic Cushion surfaces. During the summer, the club hosts daily clinics, social activities and private lessons for all ages.
The Club has a 25-meter pool, an expansive beach area, and dining and lounge facilities. A fitness center and croquet greenswards round out the amenities.

For those seeking a more athletic workout, the Island’s wide, even roads and wynds are tailor-made for biking and jogging. Meander along a beach, forest or marsh path and you’ll experience breathtaking changes of scenery as you move through your fitness routine.
The Club’s new aquatics complex is designed to appeal to all ages and swim levels. Its centerpiece is a spacious lap pool overlooking a splash pad, playground and zero-entry leisure pool, with cabana bar service and an open-air Horizons ocean view restaurant. Easy beach access and creative kids’ programming add to the overall experience of this dazzling club. Membership in the Club includes access to these facilities and a championship George Cobb golf course, croquet greenswards and four tennis courts so close to the Atlantic Ocean you can almost hear it roar.
Dining
Each of our exclusive vacation rentals includes a temporary membership to the Bald Head Island Club, along with access to tennis, croquet and a resort style pool. The golf course, designed by George Cobb is a challenge as it winds through the forest under Old Baldy and out onto the dune ridge.
During the summer, the Club hosts a magnificent 25 meter swimming pool with incredible vistas overlooking the ocean. There is also a children’s slide, plenty of both shaded and sunny areas for lounging with a drink or a book, a poolside deli affectionately called the “Peli”, and an accommodating bar area that provides afternoon cocktails, post-golf beers, and refreshing frozen drinks.
At the Shoals Club, the dining options are just as exciting as the beach setting. Aqua serves up a delightful menu of seafood with gorgeous views and Latitudes offers more casual club dining with options like burgers, tacos, and salads. There is also Will O’ The Wisp, a fun bar on the harbor with tasty snacks and a view of the ferry dock.
