Restaurants on Bald Head Island to Give You Fine Dining Experience

When it comes to delicious food, you won’t have far to go from your postcard-perfect vacation rental. Whether you’re looking for fresh seafood, crafty cocktails or pub favorites, you’ll find it on the island.

Enjoy the island vibes at Jailhouse Provisions while sipping on a specialty drink and sampling American cuisine. Or, stop at Sandpiper Ice Cream & Coffee near the harbor for a premium coffee drink and a range of sweets.

Jules’ Salty Grub & Island Pub

A great place to enjoy Bald Head Island restaurants to grab a drink and Southern-style coastal pub grub in a casual waterfront setting. The menu is small but everything on it is delicious!

With a nod to Ebb & Flo’s, this neighborhood Harbour hangout and Bald Head Island Restaurants waterside dining escape welcomes Island locals, guests, and even Fido (they have a pet-friendly deck). Their classic nautical aesthetic is the perfect place to enjoy quality comfort food and specialty cocktails with friends or family.

The fried prawns are tasty and the wings are great too. They have a good selection of beers and wine. The service is good and prices are reasonable. They also serve a nice collection of ready-to-heat family-sized dinners which you can order and take back to your vacation rental.

One of the two club restaurants on the Island. They have a full bar and serve lunch and dinner. They serve salmon, veal tenderloin, and oysters. The menu is a bit more relaxed than the finer options on the island. The food is always good and the service is very friendly. They also have a pool-side cafe that serves sandwiches and wraps. They are also known for their frozen cocktails and ice cream. They have a good collection of groceries for your trip as well. They also offer grocery delivery.

Delphina Coastal Cuisine

Getting out and exploring on an island like Bald Head Island will work up an appetite. Luckily, there are plenty of great options for food on the island. From fine dining to ice cream and grocery delivery, you’re sure to find something to please your taste buds.

If you’re looking for a Bald Head Island restaurant with Latin flair, check out Delphina Coastal Cuisine. They serve dishes with a Mexican, Spanish and Cuban influence. Try the Tequila Lime Spicy Shrimp or one of their many quesadilla and burrito bowl options. The menu also includes burgers and pizza, which are perfect to grab and go.

For a more refined meal, you can visit The Terrace at the Bald Head Island Club for dinner. This dining venue serves up fun charcuterie plates along with drinks and beautiful views. It’s a great place to dine with family or a large group of friends. The Terrace is open Tuesday through Saturday for dinner.

Sandpiper Coffee & Ice Cream is another popular option on the island. They have tasty premium coffee drinks and pastries like scones, muffins and cinnamon rolls. They also have a variety of frozen treats to enjoy, including an Almond Joy!

If you want to cut down on cooking during your vacation, try the Grocery Delivery service from Maritime Market. You can order breakfast, lunch and dinner items and have them delivered to your resort. This is a great way to save time and still have delicious meals on your vacation.

Will O’ The Wisp

A fanciful yet frothy tale that plays like a lustrous erotic phantasmagorical, Joo Pedro Rodrigues’ Will-o’-the-Wisp is a delightful, if short, myriad of sequences whose surrealistic haze is a testament to the director’s skillful, if messy, direction. It’s a tumultuous feat that brings the viewer into the world of its characters.

The atmospheric ghost lights known as will-o’-the-wisps or jack-o’-lanterns are found in many cultures across the globe. In European culture, the atmospheric spirits are called brujas (witches), hinkypunk or hobby lantern, while in Bengalis they are known as aleya, meaning “to confuse fisherman.”

Rodrigues’ bawdy jokes and visual gags—including a sexy parade of firefighter bodies in sensual dance formations—are layered with caustic truth. He skewers the sanitization of sexual expression that passes for politesse in upper class society, and shows how easily it can flip into active homophobia or racism.

With lashings of Bunuelian satire and gayeroticism, Will-o’-the-Wisps is a fun film, but it never fully succumbs to the simple good vs evil formula. As with the effervescent love between Alfredo and Afonso, it’s often less about righting wrongs than about accepting that some things are simply beyond your control. It’s a message that’s delivered with the same playful spirit that brought us The Boys’ raunchy, funky opening track to their 1993 debut album, Please.

MoJo’s on the Harbor

Located on the waterfront of the Bald Head Island Marina, MoJo’s on the Harbor redefines seafood dining on the island. Founded by John & Andrea Pitera, this restaurant is the place for Island locals, family & friends to gather and experience a new way of enjoying the food they love with great hospitality in a relaxing setting on the water.

The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from Tuesday through Sunday. The menu features fresh, local seafood paired with great wines and craft beers. Guests enjoy eating on the deck, sitting by the water or inside the spacious air-conditioned restaurant. MoJo’s on the Harbor also hosts fun, unique special events throughout the year like wine tastings, trivia nights and more.

While the Maritime Market has all the grocery options you need for your Bald Head Island vacation, it’s also home to several small restaurants that really expand the number of choices on the Island. Copper’s Wood-Fired Kitchen offers pizzas topped with anything from lobster and crabmeat to filet mignon and French brie. Tempura Green Beans and Chili Garlic Shrimp from Side Wok are quick and easy grab-and-go items. And, don’t forget to stop by the ice cream or coffee shop for a treat.

Whether you’re looking for a hip and casual dining spot, a relaxed gastropub or a delicious fine-dining experience, the Island has it all. With incredible restaurants, shops and coffee & ice cream, you can leave the cooking at home and have an amazing meal on your next trip to the Island.
