Huntingdon Valley is a suburban area of Philadelphia and is located south of Bryn Athyn. The town has a population of 22,000 and is served by SEPTA – Northeast. You can get there by bus from Philadelphia or take a train from Abington Township. There is also a SEPTA regional rail station at Bethayres.

Huntingdon Valley is primarily residential, but there are hotels and restaurants in the area. The village has several schools, including Lower Moreland Township School, Upper Moreland Township School, and Lower Moreland High School. There are also seven elementary schools and a junior high and senior high school in the Abington School District. There is also the Centennial School District in Bucks County.

It is home to the Lady Washington Inn

Built in 1761 and extending into the 1790s, the Lady Washington Inn is a historic landmark in Huntingdon Valley. It is famous for its classic architecture and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Inn is now a private residence and is located near the historic Core States Bank.

Located in Lower Moreland Township, Abington Township, and Montgomery County, Huntingdon Valley is a charming village with historic significance. It is the site of the Lady Washington Inn, which is believed to be where Martha Washington lived while her husband fought the French and Indians at Valley Forge. The area also contains several early settlements and mills along Pennypack Creek and is now a thriving community with high standards of living.

It has a public library

The Huntingdon Valley Library was established in 1871. The Community Club of Huntingdon Valley raised funds for the library by organizing minstrel shows and movies. After the library closed due to a lack of funds, the women’s club decided to reopen it as a community project. Volunteers donated books and paid rent for the building.

The Marketplace at Huntingdon Valley features nearly 150,000 square feet of retail space and is anchored by a Giant Supermarket and Rite Aid. It is easily accessible, and its location at the intersection of Huntingdon Pike and Rockledge Avenue provides great visibility.
