The Duchess Of Sussex Slapped A Summery Twist On The Canadian Tuxedo.

After hinting at her love of the Canadian tuxedo during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Duchess Meghan is back in Cali – and she’s traded Dior for denim. To cheer on Prince Harry at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club on 17 June, Meghan wore a pair of high-waisted jean shorts by Dôen with a loose-fitting chambray shirt – a low-key take on Canada’s unofficial national outfit. Of course, Meghan has always been the most notable royal proponent of denim – choosing a pair of ripped skinny jeans by Mother Denim for her headline-grabbing first appearance with Prince Harry at the Invictus Games back in 2017.

Shielding her eyes from the sunshine boosted all weekend with the California sunlight? A pair of tortoiseshell Valentino sunglasses   popular among the Duchess   while the Cartier Love Bracelet and Tank Watch invited laidback sophistication to her attire.

The Duchess of Sussex has been a regular fixture at polo matches this summer, showing her support for her husband Prince Harry’s team, Los Padres. She wore low-rise Frame cut-offs in white for one match back in May, paired with a poplin button-down by Anine Bing. For the Lisle Nixon Memorial cup that same month, Meghan chose tailored shorts from Katie Holmes’s favourite New York brand, Khaite, which she styled with a polka-dotted Celine blouse and some suede Aquazzura pumps – reminiscent of Julia Roberts’s distinctly ’90s wardrobe in Pretty Woman.

Clearly, whatever happens with Harry on the polo field is nothing in comparison to how Meghan is winning in the spectator fashion stakes.
